Asheton & Anthony’s brunch summer wedding at The Water Table was a joyous occasion for them & their family & friends. Ashethon wore a stunning Vera Wang blush wedding dress while Anthony looked dapper in his seersucker tie. Their wedding day came together from the love for each other & the love from their family & friends. Asheton’s mother helped with the decorations, while Anthony helped set up as well and his best man prepared to play guitar when the ceremony started. A few weeks before, for Asheton’s Bachelorette weekend, her & her friends went to the Mermaid Factory. Asheton then incorporated all of her friend’s painted mermaids into her centerpieces at the reception.
They both love to be outside together whether it’s going for a run or hiking with their golden doodle puppy. Believe it or not, their first date was going for a run on the beach! They truly wanted to have a wedding day that exemplified them and choosing it to all be outside by the water was the perfect way to do it. Back flips and canon balls off of their families’ boat into the water were included during their reception, which was a first for me! As I walked over to the boat with the guys that wanted to jump off, I all of a sudden saw Asheton running down to the dock, but it wasn’t to stop them, it was only to lunge herself onto the boat so she wouldn’t miss seeing them hit the water!
I was able to take them over to another beach location for some portrait time & on the short drive their Anthony couldn’t stop saying things to Asheton like, “We’re married babe… I’m so lucky… You are so gorgeous!” He was right! Asheton was a carefree bride that truly soaked up all of the moments of their wedding day and marveled in the quiet time with her husband! They kept me laughing and more importantly made each other feel like the luckiest person in the world. During their toasts Anthony chose to speak and he said that he knew he was going to marry Asheton after their first date. Which did not originally surprise me, because you could see the immense amount of love that he had for her. What did surprise me was as he said that he pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket and told their guests that after their first date he wrote on this paper, “I’m going to marry Asheton Michele Richards. – Proverbs 31:29” A bible verse that particularly made him think of Asheton and the love that he was looking for. I was astounded! Something as deep and meaningful as love & he knew it right away & he had the courage to write it down & never let it go. That was over two years ago, and I love how imperfectly perfect the note has become while being kept safe in his pockets. Now Anthony, you need to frame it for safe keeping!
After hours of great company, conversation, a little mischief, and dancing Asheton & Anthony exited their wedding reception by boat. They were cheered on by their friends & family until they rounded the corner of the Rudee Inlet. Congratulations Asheton & Anthony!
