Caitlin & Ryan are high school sweethearts! I know, we do not get to hear that to often now-a-days so I always think it is extra special when I hear this. They had class together when they were juniors in high school and Ryan nicknamed Caitlin, Cheese, which he still fondly calls her to this day. They did not explain this nickname to me but if I had to guess Ryan nicknamed Caitlin this because of her contagious smile and laugh! Caitlin was the happiest bride through out their wedding day! She came up to me during her reception just to tell me that she was, “having so much fun,” and that she did not want the night to end. Then she quickly got back on the dance floor and carried on the party with her family and friends. You will be able to tell just how much fun everyone was having together!
Caitlin had the sweetest first look with her father and was followed by happy tears and jokes from her dad while he was realizing that this was REALLY happening! Then a few more tears came! 😉 He proudly walked Caitlin down the aisle and knew that when he gave her away he was giving her to a man that truly loves her and makes her happy! I ask couples a few questions that I hope to strike up a conversation about their relationship, each other, and their love not to far before their wedding day. As I read Caitlin and Ryan’s answers, I got a sense of just how much they know about each other, how truly in love they are, and how everything they wrote was exactly what kind of people I thought they were! They could easily write this entire blog themselves!
I teared up as I read almost identical words about their favorite characteristics about each other. They both love and welcome everyone! Ryan has the biggest heart and wants to make everyone feel included while Caitlin has the ability to become friends with anyone. So much so that Ryan loves to sit back and watch Caitlin meet a complete stranger and see that person light up and change when they hold a conversation with Caitlin. He says that by the end of their conversation Caitlin leaves with a connection to that person and vice versa. Which I can attest to this! I felt like I had new friends a few minutes after meeting Caitlin and Ryan! I took Caitlin and her mom out to lunch when she was in town and I had the best time attending their rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding! I also was overjoyed to spend the day with them photographing one of the most important days of their lives together.
Their wedding day reflected their fun and playful relationship. They were surrounded by family and friends that were ready to goof off, dance and celebrate the newlyweds! After years of knowing that each other were the ones’ that they were going to marry, they are now newlyweds! Congratulations to Caitlin and Ryan!
