This Obici House wedding day was long awaited for me! I knew ahead of time what a close knit family Torie and Kevin had. I knew that they were solidifying their own branch of that family on this day and I knew that they loved each other SO much. Since their engagement session and their daughter Aubrey tagging along for a few photographs I had been counting down the days to this day.
Aubrey was very involved in their wedding day, from being their flower girl to wanting to see every detail and wear Torie’s jewelry. I lost count how many times she told herself that she was the Princess of the day! Torie and Kevin waited to see each other at their ceremony, where Aubrey and Kevin have the sweetest reactions to seeing Torie walk down the aisle, but Torie choose to do a first look with her Dad. If you are like me then you will want to grab some tissues to see those emotional and beautiful photographs.
There was no chance of rain during their day but for some reason we had this constant mist that would not leave us and at some points light rain. They were troopers though and still got married outside, where Torie’s Dad walked her down the aisle. When the tulle of Torie’s dress got stuck in one of his wheels from his walker he laughed and looked up at Kevin, “I guess I am just not ready to let her go quite yet.” Cue the happy tears and laughter from everyone! They continued through the portraits in the misting weather and I am thankful that they didn’t let the weather dampen their day. (Pun intended!)
From heartfelt toasts, a cake smash and crazy dance moves their wedding reception was truly enjoyed by all of their guests! Congratulations to the newlyweds, Torie and Kevin! Also, congratulations to their daughter, Aubrey, she has two amazing parents!
