We went to Francis Land House for Kelly and Stephen’s Virginia Beach engagement portraits. We had one of those lucky warm days in February that reminded me of Spring and Summer engagement portrait sessions! Kelly and Stephen are getting married in June at The Inn at Warner Hall and fell in love with the estate Warner Hall. Because of that I suggested we go somewhere for their engagements that complimented their style and their love for their wedding venue. We went to Francis Land House and the trail nearby plus the aesthetics of the historical home were the perfect blend between their estate wedding and Stephen’s love for the country, fields and woods. At the end of their session we took a few portraits in front of the larger than life Magnolia Tree on the property and Stephen loved it! They told me how they planted a Magnolia tree on their property and talked about their land. I love nature and hiking so I enjoyed talking about different types of trees with them longer than I have with anyone before!
I will never forget laughing a lot with these two and having the best time with them in such a gorgeous location. I complimented Kelly through my camera and as I said, “I just love your boots!” Stephen without hesitation says, “Thank you so much!” I waited for us all to laugh, but he was serious and admitted he has quite a lot of pride in his Cowboy boots that he was wearing! Kelly and Stephen are the perfect blend between sweet and loving, funny and kind, genuine and humble. They chatted with me about memories of their sweet Grandma to their group of friends and I can just tell that these two are amazing people and amazing to everyone that comes into their life. I am beyond excited to meet that sweet Grandma and the rest of their family and friends when their wedding day comes in June, because I feel like I have heard so much about them already!
Congratulations to Kelly and Stephen!
