There is so much that I want to share about all of my couples and this year’s weddings! In fact, there is way to much to share for one blog post. Today, I am re-introducing you to all of my couples from this past wedding season! After this blog post I will be sharing different details or moments of everyone’s wedding days separated into other blog posts! One will be some of my favorite portraits, my favorite moments this year and favorite details. I am also going to be sharing my brides’ flowers, because I am obsessed with flowers throughout a wedding day! That is one thing during our Wedding planning that I just cannot get enough of! My couples had some great exits this year as well that I will be dedicating an entire blog post to them!
First up is saying the biggest THANK YOU to all of these couples! From the bottom of my heart, I enjoyed each and everyone of your weddings. I enjoyed getting to know you better and photographing one of the most special days of your life. I know the magnitude of your wedding day to you and I revel in getting to photograph it all for you! I wish you all of the happiness and love that life has to offer. I hope that you continue to live a fulfilled life together and that your love continues to grow, that way on your first anniversary and every one after that you can say that you love each other even more than you did on your Wedding Day! Love, Jessica Ryan
Rachel and Mark got married in Rachel’s Grandfather’s backyard. It was a beautiful and intimate setting for their afternoon wedding. Anna and Jimi were married at Holly Ridge Manor. Anna said that she found the perfect venue to hint toward her rustic roots, living in Suffolk as a child. They danced the night away with their family and Virginia Tech Hookie friends. Ed and Scott were married under the sun amongst their family and friends wearing the traditional Puerto Rican shirts to honor Ed’s heritage. Allison and Joel were married in the backyard of the home they built together. It rained all morning but as we walked to the lake the sun came out and Allison looked up and said, “That’s my Dad doing that for us.” Caitlin and Ryan were married in a church ceremony and had their reception at Marina Shores Yacht Club. They are high school sweethearts and are truly each other’s best friend. Samantha and Hayley were married at the Obici house on the front steps. I loved how spectacular they booth looked on the steps of the Estate, saying their heartfelt vows to one another. Christine and Vic had an intimate ceremony at Chix Beach one summer afternoon. They are expecting their newest addition to their family very soon! I traveled to Middleburg, Virginia for Ash and Chris’ wedding at the beautiful Briar Patch Bed & Breakfast Inn. Their wedding day was stunning with the mountains painting their backgrounds, everywhere you looked. They surprised everyone with an impressive choreographed dance and a Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Truck! We traveled to Amelia Island for Katie and Ryan’s wedding day. These two are also my future in-laws. I was honored to photograph the two of them on such a special day for them and for the rest of our family. Emma and Jason were married at one of my favorite wedding venues, The Hermitage Museum and Gardens. Maybe this is because, Cory and I will be getting married their as well in May 2017! Emma looked beautiful in her blush wedding dress and Jason could not keep his eyes off of her!Kacee and Ryan married at the Lesner Inn in a classic black tux and a classic lace wedding dress, and of course Chuck Taylor’s! Besides Kacee’s embroidered shoes, with her new monogram, everything else about their wedding was black and gold, glitzy and glamorous. Tony and Jayme had their emotional first look at First Landing State Park. Their wedding ceremony, that was filled with personal vows and words about faith, and their reception were held at Marina Shores Yacht Club. Not only was their entire wedding day filled to the brim of love and affection, they also had an epic dance party and an even more amazing Fiber Optic Glow Stick exit. Jacqueline and Jordan, a self-acclaimed mermaid and a Navy deep sea diver, married at her family’s church and then celebrated by the beach. Jacqueline’s parents and her older sister both married at the same altar, which is a detail that I absolutely love! Mary and Andrew may have had a hurricane take over everything outside during their wedding but they were still as happy as could be and their reception could not have been more beautiful at Norfolk Botanical Gardens. Jessie and Chris could not take their eyes off of each other during their wedding day at the Harrison Opera House. Jessie looked classic in her wedding dress from Maya Couture and Chris looked handsome in his classic tux with a white jacket and black pants. Amanda and Jeremiah were married at the gorgeous Williamsburg Winery! They were my last wedding of 2016 and it could have not been more perfect. All of their friends and family were welcoming to us and I enjoyed photographing all of the moments of their wedding day for them!
Pheww! That was a hard to task to only pick one portrait of each of my couples that I photographed in 2016. This is me re-introducing them before I share a lot more of all of their wedding days and portraits in future blog posts!
